Andiswa Dlanga
Andiswa is a seasoned professional with extensive expertise in rail and port operations, planning, and scheduling and executing trains and vessels. In a career spanning 20 years at Transnet, she has held several senior positions including Managing Executive: Western Cape Region – Operations (Transnet Port Terminals), Acting General Manager: Steel and Cement Business Unit (Transnet Freight Rail), and Acting General Manager: Container Rail Corridor (Transnet Freight Rail). She is also a former Executive Board Member of the Gaborone Container Terminal, a Gaborone-based dry port in which Transnet Freight Rail is a 50% shareholder. She has been instrumental in the implementation of key projects such the Grootvlei Terminal Project, SA Strategic Drought Solution (importing grain via rail into South Africa), and the Manganese Export Capacity Allocation (allocation of manganese export capacity to emerging miners).
Andiswa has a proven track record in compliance and governance management across different departments, safety management, risk management supply chain management, asset management of the rolling stock, plant management in the ports, new business development, contracts management, stakeholder management and corporate communication. Skilled in, among others, strategy development, cooperative planning, budgeting, and forecasting, project management, lean start-up thinking, agile software, and meeting moderation, Andiswa is a well-rounded professional.
